Heavy duty drainage for heavy traffic areas

Drainage channels are exposed to extreme loads, intensive traffic patterns, dynamic and lateral forces within container terminals, docks, distribution centres, airport taxiways and runways. Specifying an ultra heavy duty drainage system within these types of application areas is essential for coping with the imposed heavy wheel point loads.

HAURATON offer a range of ultra heavy duty drainage channels designed to withstand the demanding environments of heavy duty applications. Robust enough to cope with vehicle traffic up to load class F 900 (90 tonnes), the systems provide superior resistance to load-bearing forces.

Heavy duty concrete drainage channel

FASERFIX SUPER heavy duty drainage system installed at Magna BT industrial park

Manufactured from basalt fibre-reinforced concrete, FASERFIX SUPER channels are highly resistant and provide maximum strength under the most extreme load situations.

The heavy duty concrete channel is structurally designed for heavy traffic applications. With a 40mm x 40mm angle housing and extra-thick sidewalls, it increases the system’s strength and lateral resistance against heavy vehicles.

Heavy duty high capacity drainage channel

RECYFIX HICAP installed at Tamworth industrial site

Manufactured from modified polypropylene, RECYFIX HICAP provides reliable drainage for heavy traffic areas with high hydraulic requirements, extreme loads and extensive surfaces.

The system has a retained ductile iron slotted top which gives a uniform visual appearance in environments subject to traffic up to an F 900 loading class.

RECYFIX HICAP is lightweight and easy to handle on-site. It complies with single-man lift on-site and no heavy lifting equipment is required, achieving time and cost-savings.

Comparison of recommended heavy duty drainage channels

Drainage channels from HAURATON are designed and tested to the European standard DIN EN 1433. Surfaces trafficked by ultra heavy loads require drainage channels with a loading class of F 900 (900kN test force).
