GREEN Building: LEED and BREEAM product sustainability declarations
With a focus and emphasis on developing resource-saving products, sustainable drainage systems are prevalent within the HAURATON range.
The selection and use of raw and processed materials, the production process, installation and disposal of products, and the intended use of the system should be beneficial to the environment throughout the product and project’s entire life span. This is drainage with a vision.
HAURATON can now provide relevant information and life-cycle analysis to support the LEED/BREEAM certification process for our customers by issuing project-related information on our products and support services for the following systems:
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), based on LEED v4 [http://www.usgbc.org/leed-v4] and the following categories:
- Sustainable Sites
- Water Efficiency
- Materials & Resources
BREEAM [www.breeam.org] (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method), based on the BREEAM UK New Construction technical manual (2014) and the following categories:
Our life cycle assessment model considers the life cycle phases of production, transport to the construction site and disposal (modules A1-A4, C3 and D and presentation of results according to European norm EN 15804).
Please note that our products’ respective contribution to LEED/ BREEAM credits may depend on:
- the planning and execution of the specific project being designed in conjunction with the LEED/ BREEAM rating systems.
- the auditor's discretion in the auditing process of the building site and therefore whether and how HAURATON’s products are considered regarding their environmental impact.
