Reinforced concrete settling tanks and separators are cylindrical in shape. The tank is made of C35/45 grade concrete with a monolithic construction that ensures the airtightness of the facility, covered with a D 400 manhole cover. The concrete tanks are designed for the treatment of wastewater containing fats and oils of vegetable and animal origin as well as sludge. AQUAFIX concrete sumps and grease traps are protected inside with a special coating that protects against the aggressive action of organic fats and their degradation products.

Design of AQUAFIX concrete grease separators
Similar to light liquid separators, grease separators are always installed together with a sludge trap. Usually, the last element in the separating plant is a sampling sump. Since organic fats and oils can become very hard and rubbery, in-line sampling devices, at least those with mechanical parts, are not recommended.
