Sustainable production

The roof of the Ötigheim plant is equipped with 2,784 photovoltaic panels covering a total area of 4,478 m². The plant supplies approximately 2,100 kWh per day, which are fed directly into the electricity grid. This corresponds to approximately 93% of HAURATON’s electricity needs. The production of electricity through photovoltaics saves about 280 tons of CO₂ * per year. The additional electricity needs are covered by eco-electricity, i.e. electricity from renewable energies.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) are certification systems for sustainable construction.

In order to support the LEED and BREEAM certification process for our clients, we provide information on our project-related products and services upon request. Our life cycle assessment takes into account the phases of production, transport to the implementation site and waste treatment (modules A1-A4, C3 and D, in accordance with the European standard EN 15804).
