Soil sealing reduces the natural infiltration of rainwater and places a strain on drainage systems. The aim of sustainable rainwater management is therefore to reduce surface runoff and allow water to infiltrate on-site wherever possible.

RECYFIX GRID offers permeable ground grids for surface paving that combine soil unsealing with load-bearing capacity. This allows even occasionally used vehicular traffic areas to be functionally paved without disrupting the natural water cycle. At the same time, the burden on the sewerage system is reduced and a contribution is made to mitigating urban heat island effects.

The product range comprises three product lines for different requirements in surface paving – from green spaces and multifunctional paving to the stabilisation of road verges.

How the RECYFIX GRID paving system works

The grid structure distributes loads and point loads from vehicles evenly across the surface, thereby ensuring high stability. At the same time, the surfaces remain open and permeable, allowing rainwater to infiltrate directly on site. Combined with the appropriate sub-base, this creates a durable yet permeable surface solution that is long-lasting and versatile.

Road verges are prone to erosion and loss of material. RECYFIX GRID ROAD stabilises the area, holds the loose material in place and prevents scouring. At the same time, its open structure allows for infiltration and controlled water drainage.
