Concrete coalescence separators for the pretreatment of petroleum and readily settling suspended solids.

Our solutions – your benefits – AQUAFIX concrete sumps and oil/water separators

Depending on the type, concrete separators have the shape of a standing cylinder or a cuboid. The separator tank is made of concrete of min. C40/50 class concrete of a monolithic structure guaranteeing the tightness of the device, topped with a cover plate with a D400 class manhole cover. Concrete separators are designed to remove oil-derived substances and total suspended solids from rainwater sewage. The separator tank is made of concrete demonstrating chemical resistance to the substances specified in para. 8.1.4.1 of EN 858-1, which means that there is no need for an additional protective coating inside the tank.

  • Monolithic concrete construction
  • High load class – up to D400
  • Deep installation possible without relief plate
  • Tanks made of concrete of minimum class C40/50
  • Versions with settling tank and bypass available

Construction of AQUAFIX concrete oil/water separators

The internal components of hydrocarbon separators are made of polyethylene or stainless steel. Hydrocarbon separators, operating on the principle of coalescence phenomena, are equipped as standard with an inlet element with a deflector, a siphoned outlet element, a basket with coalescing material and a float, which acts as an automatic closure preventing the outflow of oil substances accumulated in the separator when the permissible thickness of their layer is exceeded. Transport loops are attached to the tanks to facilitate unloading and loading.

Application areas for AQUAFIX concrete separators

Concrete hydrocarbon separators are used in heavy traffic areas where medium to high flow is required, such as local roads, factories, urban paved areas or car parks.
