Modern rainwater management at the Hungaroring

The Hungaroring in Mogyoród, one of the world’s most renowned Formula 1 race tracks, has been extensively modernised. For the renovation of the drainage system, the operator once again relied on powerful, reliable and durable systems from HAURATON Hungary – a decisive contribution to the safety and functionality of the entire facility.

Challenges of a demanding motorsport environment

On racetracks such as the Hungaroring, extreme stresses are placed on all technical systems: high speeds, rapid changes in direction of the vehicles, heavy point loads and large amounts of rainwater that must be reliably absorbed and drained away. In addition, the modernisation process was bound to an international schedule – precise coordination and on-time delivery were top priorities.

To meet these requirements, the operator needed robust, durable and flexible drainage systems that could be seamlessly integrated into existing structures. As in previous projects, HAURATON was chosen.

Customised, future-proof solutions from HAURATON Hungary

A total of 400 m of SERVICE CHANNELS, 150 m of FASERFIX SUPER 300 and 110 m of DACHFIX STEEL were installed. The systems ensure the safe drainage of rainwater and surface water as well as the reliable routing of technical media along the track. Thanks to close cooperation with the operator and HAURATON’s long-standing presence in Hungary, all products were delivered and installed with pinpoint accuracy.

For the Hungaroring, the combination of technical performance, high resistance and proven product quality was particularly decisive. HAURATON’s solutions offer maximum safety – even under extreme racing conditions.
