In 2022, 272 tonnes of post-consumer plastic waste were diverted from landfill and used to produce RECYFIX channels sold in the UK.

Recycled Material

HAURATON use a recycled material within our RECYFIX range. This has a wide number of sustainable benefits and will suit any project looking to reduce their environmental impact.

  • We use post-consumer plastic waste in our channel bodies, such as polypropylene bottles.
  • We can provide data that calculates the equivalent number of recycled bottles per channel body for a variety of RECYFIX channels.
  • By using a recycled material in our channel bodies, we save over 80% of CO2 equivalent per ton of granulate.
  • All of our RECYFIX products are 100% recyclable after lifetime use.

The average number of recycled bottles per meter of channel body is 60 recycled bottles.

We have calculated an average weighted value of equivalent 0.5 litre PP bottles across our RECYFIC STANDARD, RECYFIX PRO AND RECYFIX PLUS channels.

Energy saving

Our factory in Ötigheim reuses both water and energy from various sources to heat and power it’s plant. With photovoltaic panels on the roof and responsible lighting inside the building, HAURATON are continually exploring new opportunities to lower our carbon footprint.

CO2 Saving

Lowering CO2 is crucial to mitigating the effects of global warming and climate change.

For many years it has been one of our primary goals to reduce our environmental impact and we have achieved this across a number of initiatives.

Energy Efficiency

By using a recycled material in our channel bodies, we save over 80% of CO2 equivalent per ton of granulate.

With 2784 solar panels installed above the HAURATON factory. Our panels produce over 90% of the energy required for our production and operations, with a saving of 370 tonnes of CO2 per year.
