The DRAINFIX CLEAN filter substrate channel is an intelligent drainage solution that collects, filters and drains rainwater. The system consists of the CARBOTEC 100 filter substrate and a drainage channel with drainage pipe. Different FASERFIX or RECYFIX variants can be used depending on the type of load. The filter substrate channels are designed for loads up to F 900.

Maximum planning and legal certainty: DIBt-approved (Z-84.2-7) and plannable according to DWA-A 138, DWA-A 102 and DWA-M 179 – for reliable approvals and long-term stable operation.
Extremely high pollutant retention: More than 95% retention of fine particles (AFS63) in accordance with DWA-M 179 – reliable protection of soil and groundwater, even with high traffic loads.
More usable space despite dense development: Low space requirements enable use in heavily built-up and trafficked areas – including heavy goods traffic – and create additional usable construction space compared to infiltration basins.
Significantly reduced operating and maintenance costs: First maintenance usually only after 10 years, substrate service life up to 40 years – minimal effort with maximum cost-effectiveness.
No standing water: Dry filter substrate channel prevents permanent waterlogging and avoids unpleasant odours and insect breeding grounds.
Reliable year-round use: Frost and de-icing salt-resistant channel and filter substrate ensure safe operation regardless of weather conditions and season.

Installation and maintenance of the filter drainage channel

DRAINFIX CLEAN combines low installation costs for stormwater treatment with maximum safety for traffic areas. The installation is extremely simple as the only additional components are the filter substrate and pipe connection which are inserted into the channel.

The DrainageGuard from RX-WATERTEC records the utilisation and performance of drainage channels. Sensors detect blockages and malfunctions at an early stage and highlight any deviations between the target and actual status. On this basis, notifications can be triggered in the event of any abnormalities.

This supports proactive operational monitoring, reduces the risk of flooding and helps to make maintenance measures more predictable and reduce unplanned interventions.

Long maintenance intervals

The maintenance of the drainage system is very minimal given the time the layer cake will build up. Only when 1/3 of the retention space is filled up, will the filter cake need to be removed. If necessary, the filter substrate can be refilled back into the system. With long maintenance intervals of up to 10 years (depending on local conditions), this makes for a simple and cost-efficient rainwater treatment system.
