The DRAINFIX BLOC HD infiltration and attenuation crate system is designed for the collection, retention and infiltration of stormwater in areas subject to heavy traffic loads. With a compressive strength suitable for SLW40 applications, the system is particularly effective beneath parking areas, access roads, logistic and industrial sites.
The unique dual-crate configuration is made up of an open inner crate with a closed outer crate, providing a speedier install and efficient transportation. The design also offers structural stability and internal accessibility for flow and inspection.
Manufactured from 100% recycled plastic, the system combines practicality and long-term durability with a sustainable use of resources. A high void ratio of 95.8% ensures excellent storage capacity, reducing the number of units required and simplifying installation.

DRAINFIX BLOC HD – for retention and infiltration projects
The issues of retention and infiltration are increasingly urgent concerns for the world, due to more frequent droughts and deluges of rainwater. DRAINFIX BLOC HD can be used across both types of projects, offering a versatile solution to dealing with the challenges of our current environment.
Infiltration (permeable system)
Infiltration systems capture stormwater where it falls and gradually release it back into the environment. DRAINFIX BLOC HD can be used for filtration projects when wrapped in a non-woven, needle punched geotextile. The permeable geotextile allows for water to seep into the soil in a controlled manner, decreasing flood risk and the need for costly drainage infrastructure.
Retention (sealed system)
Retention systems temporarily store excess rainwater and release it slowly into drainage networks or natural waterways. DRAINFIX BLOC HD can be incorporated into retention projects with the use of a sealed (impermeable) geomembrane – wrapped around the tank and either welded or taped/glued closed. A protection fleece is then wrapped around to protect the geomembrane.
